Where is the centreline of a motorway carrage way that has a hard shoulder? Do you just consider the normall running lanes, so for a three lane carrageway draw the centre of the middle lane. Or do you also include the hard shoulder and (in the 3 lane case) draw the line along white line separating lanes 1 and 2? |

I'd say the way tagged as However I would suggest that you don't realign the way if another mapper used the white line between lanes 1 and 2. It doesn't improve accuracy much, is a lot of work and might annoy the other mapper. |
