There is no "the map". There are many Garmin-compatible maps which are made by using our OpenStreetMap data.

See the sections for devices with a very similar model number on our Garmin/Nüvi series info page (1350T and 1390 T) (I have just added some basic info about your device). Yes, map and routing could work on your device – just try it and please add your findings to the mentioned wiki page section (or here).

Follow the general instructions OSM_Map_On_Garmin/Download (just try the first entry there – http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/ ) and/or basic-guide-to-download-osm-to-garmin-gps. You may need to use a microSD card if there is not enough space on the device itself.
