we had this question before: https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/50567/wiki-accountpage-creation-error . Your issue may be the same (sadly not really a solution). Sorry about this - please just try again. Maybe with another browser. We have big spam problems, so the annoying captchas are needed.

If you already have OSM login credentials just use those.

As for the place to add the text in the CAPTCHA I can see it in my browser (Safari on iOS) so perhaps you should try another.

as far as I know, the wiki login is separate from the "OSM login".

My OSM login credentials also work on the wiki but I may have set them up at the same time.

When I wanted to post to http://forum.openstreetmap.org I went to register and got this message, "This forum is not accepting new registrations". I posted about this to my local talk mailing list, was told to use OSM credentials and it worked.

@logrady: just for info, at https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Accounts the different accounts are listed. Wiki account is clearly a separate one from the "osm account". Yes, you may have used the same username and password for this separate wiki registration (which is not a bad decision, in my opinion).
