osm and drupal 8 and leaflet incompatible with some versions of apple IOS

I have a website running Drupal 8.9.13, Leaflet 2.1.13, and I am using leaflet to display OSM-Mapnik tiles. These render beautifully on any apple device using IOS 13 or higher, but the maps disappear on any version lower than ios 13. Does anyone know of a solution to this proble? or could point me in the right direction? Many thanks in advance. Andy

This sounds more like a Drupal issue than an OSM issue (or even a Leaflet issue) - I'd suggest you might have more luck posting on a Drupal forum.
