We have historic=manor vs historic=castle + castle_type=manor

According to taginfo there are twice as much castle_type=manors then historic=manors. Also, in my country historic=manor isn't used anywhere even tho we have tons of manors which are in practice are tagged as castle_type=manor or castle_type=stately since we usually call them castles.

Which one should I use? Both wikis seem to be stating the same, non of them is marked as deprecated.
