I came across this posting whilst browsing the various help points linked from the OpenStreetMap homepage. As such, I am not familiar with the OSM community, but I am a speaker of Japanese as a second language. Perhaps if I provide a rough translation we might be able to assist or point the questioner in the right direction?

[Japanese Language] Posting Here As I Am Not Familiar WIth English

1) Although the map icons don't fit well with Japanese culture, could more be added? eg. bath houses, multi-tenancy buildings and so on.

2) I'm having trouble arbitrarily setting the widths of roads. Is there a reference page with guidance on plowing through national highways, municipal roads, private roads and agricultural-use roads?

meta: on this help site, please ask different questions in different "question" entries, this would be more useful for future users

I'm sorry, but I don't speak (nor write) japanese :-/

  1. If you want to tag a bath within a building, you have to tag the polygon as building=yes (or anyone of the building values) and to add a point to mark the entrance of the bath with the tag amenity=shower as listed on the amenity key documentation.
  2. There is some documentation about the roads classification in OpenStreetMap and their associated tags.
