Further Question on use of OpenStreetMap maps in art.
Thanks for the answers on using [using OpenStreetMap in art, art][1], they helps. Just a clarification on the answer discussing raw data in OSM. Does raw data refer to any data collected and on OpenStreetMaps in map form? My understanding is when you were referring to the designers and their maps that may have additional legal restrictions, you were meaning maps on other websites and not OpenStreetMap. If this is the case, then I assume one could adapt OpenStreetMap maps to visual art (i.e drawing, painting) so long as OSM was acknowledged when being displayed, etc and any errors in the map were corrected. Let me know if this is what you meant, I realize your answers are not official statements but I appreciate the info. I am still deciding what path I will be taking in my art project and am going to do some further research before I adapt any maps. Thanks. P.S.: I'm new to internet boards in general so I hope this is the proper way to respond to an answer, ask a further question.question.
