More up-to-date satellite images for map editing than Bing?

Hi: I started to do some map editing as some of the info in my area was 4-5 years old (Restaurants that went bankrupt etc). The iD editing software uses Bing satellite images. But they are sooooooooo old. In my area (appr. 30 miles from Washington, DC), they are at least 1 1/2 or I would even say 2 years old! Is there any other source for these images? OSM maps will not be able to keep pace with fast changes taking place in many US suburbs when the base images used for editing are 2 years old. Thanks, Martin
