I am in Mompox, Bolívar, Colombia, the current status of the map is very primitive: it only contains roads, no squares, no information about points of interest, outdated style of road indication (they started using names instead of numbers). but the main problem is that all roads are displaced in the same direction by a variable amount of some 20 to 80 meters. I am staying at "la casona", on the Carrera 2 between Calle 18 and 19. comparing the gps data I have been collecting with the map already in openstreetmap, I seem to be between calle 20 and 21.

the place is here: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=9.23908352851868&lon=-74.4233179092407&zoom=15

the combined gps data is here: http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/mariotomo/traces/1156479

I would like to move all calles at once, but what is the best way to move things without breaking relationships and without performing a double move on intersection points?

If you want a more powerfull editor you can try JOSM. In JOSM you can select an area and move all selected elements at once.

In Potlatch 2 (the default editor on openstreetmap.org), you can select several objects at once by either:

  • holding Control and clicking each one individually, or
  • holding Control and drawing a box around all the objects you want to select.

Then simply drag them to the place you want.

(On a Mac, you'll need to use the Command key - the one with a picture of an Apple - rather than Control.)
