In adding a note, what does it mean to resolve it? It's inexplicable that a resolved note (which you might think of as being corrected) seems to be marked for deletion after 7 days. Also, is there an Android version of Openstreetmap?

"Resolving a note" means "marking it as no longer needing local mappers to investigate". This is done initially by changing the colour from red to green. After 7 days, it'll disappear from the default "notes" view (though you can still locate it by URL if you wish).

is there an Android version of Openstreetmap?

That rather depends on what you mean by "OpenStreetMap". There certainly are OSM maps and apps for Android.
