Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

Does anyone know whether it is possible to add an editable grid layer on OpenStreetMaps? Those squares should be clickable which means that they change their color. Background is I want to use OSM for groups to mark areas with specific aspects.

If so it would be great to know how it works.

What do you mean by "mark areas with specific aspects"?

The grid should be transparent by default. User can click on squares which turn into a to be defined color (marking them).
