Hi guys, Do you know how we can add our business location? We need to add Stories Flooring. Any tips? asked 25 Jul '23, 12:14 Will |
The easiest way to get it on the map is probably to add it yourself. OSM only maps physical presences, so from your website it would appear that that is just the warehouse? If you allow walk in trade to make purchases then it might be A address and contact details would be useful too. Ad copy is not generally considered verifiable information and is usually removed. Most editing software has a good set of presets so you don't need to add raw tags for most things but most allow you to add custom tags. In the "default" iD editor on OpenStreetMap.org these can be added below the preset on the left panel. I'd say have a go with the default editor, try to be as precise as possible with the positioning of items. For the most part I think it's fairly straightforward, but learnosm.org give a good step by step introduction if you prefer to learn the software that way. answered 26 Jul '23, 00:01 InsertUser Thanks for your reply. We do offer walk-in custom. We have a showroom with flooring on display. I will have a go at adding the company as you mentioned.

If you add a marker to the map or even a map note to indicate the warehouse someone may add the name, the address and website to the data. https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/25/how-do-i-add-a-marker-to-a-map Looking at the area shows large buildings that look like warehouses but I can only guess their numbers and your companies location. answered 28 Jul '23, 15:14 andy mackey |

That's good, are there several companies in that building? If so, If you list them I will put then all at that location. I have added some more info and if you search for Stories Flooring it now shows on the map.
