how to find outline without any data layers?

Thank you for your reply. First time user. the maps that I can download all have layers; roads, town names, cycle paths etc I would like to be able to download the outline with only the borders and coastline and rivers outlined.

OpenStreetMap might not be the best data source for you, because even if you filter the data to return only outlines, they will be incredibly precise. Have a look at the data offered over on naturalearthdata.com which might be a better match for your needs.
