This road was completed a few years ago. I thought it seemed to route Ok. I'm sure I have tried it before, but now it doesn't. I think it is the old construction tags. Am I correct? see https://www.openstreetmap.org/directions?engine=fossgis_osrm_car&route=52.3022%2C-0.1579%3B52.2808%2C-0.1401

note: there are several construction tags.

Your question does indeed contain the answer - yes, https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/463120462 at least has "construction=primary" in it, which seems to be in error.

Note that only one of the car routers featured on osm.org (OSRM) has this bug; the other two do not.

Thanks. It did cross my mind since my question that maybe I had used an alternative router and why it did work OK before. This also explains the fact no one had edited this section of road for sometime, so maybe my memory has not let me down.

I think OSRM should work ok in a few days, I have deleted the primary=construction tags on the dozen! or so sections (2 roundabouts, 8 oneway links to the roundabouts and 3 two-way sections). I have also deleted temporary the 40mph limits while under construction. But must check speed limit is 60mph when I next drive through.
