A very common occurrence of this problem is if tags are incorrect or incomplete. A typical example is when someone spots a new house, draws its outline, adds the address… but forgets to tag it as a "building". In such a case, for OSM it’s just a polygon with an address but it will not be shown on the map. Or using a non-standard main tag for an object. If you can post the link to the changeset you are talking about, someone may have a look and give a hint at what is going on. |
