After exporting, it only gives me an option to open the file thru various apps. I am wanting to save the file. Please advise.

On what platform are you seeing this?

(2 days ago) SomeoneElse ♦

After watching a youtube video,"Import OpenStreetMap data into AutoCAD drawings", this was one of the steps.

Sorry "On what platform" mean on a PC, or on a Mac, or on a phone, or something else...

Which web browser are you using? Each of Firefox, Chrome and Edge offer a "show in folder" option for me. With Edge it's clumsy to find, but it is there.

Using Chrome..."show in folder" sticks it in adobe acrobat(downloads), from there still unable to open or save.

I suspect your problem is entirely unrelated to OSM...

However, what I would do ismanually navigate to your "downloads" folder, note the name of the file you have downloaded in there, and then open that with (whatever application you want to open it with).

Opening with a text editor first will show the data in it
