If you really suspect that somebody installed an app remotely, the only safe course is to change your accounts credentials (password/etc) and factory-reset your phone. Enable two-factor auth where possible, and backup your data. Note that OpenStreetMap itself has nothing to do with spyware, it's just map data that apps can use to display a map, give directions etc. I'd be surprised if spyware used OSM data directly on the victim's device: the spyware is more likely to just upload the GPS coordinates somewhere. answered 16 Jan '23, 13:58 Vincent de P... ♦ |
