I've attempted to query Vienna on the API ... but no luck ... it seems like the city is missing.

Following your example links today I do see the Vienna relation (#109166) as the first result on your Nominatim request. My requests are currently answered by https://hardware.openstreetmap.org/servers/vhagar.openstreetmap.org/ - if you don't see the same result, please check the IP address or CNAME (via e.g. 'dig nominatim.openstreetmap.org') to find out which nominatim instance is answering your requests. answered 03 Jan '23, 10:04  Spiekerooger |
