I'm a new user, and I would like to have the ability to zoom more gradually. In other words, I'm looking for a way to have a finer control over the change in area when I zoom in or out. I'm finding that when I use the + or -, or use the scroll wheel on my mouse, I get too much change in the map.

Is this on the main website or an app using OSM data?

Some mapping applications allow you to hold down the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard while using the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in or out. This can allow for a finer level of control when zooming.

Many mapping applications also have a zoom slider or zoom controls located in the user interface. You can use this to zoom in or out at a specific level, or to adjust the zoom level gradually.

Some mapping applications allow you to use a pinch gesture on a touch screen device to zoom in or out. This can also provide a finer level of control when zooming.
