How should a garage have the address filled out?

If there is a house with a detached garage. Should the detached garage share the house number? Should it have the city/street/zip? Is there any advice on this?

It should not. As a rule of thumb, use addr:* fields only for places that get mail delivered to. Not for garages, or garden sheds, or trees.
