If I try to view OpenStreetMap with this url in Chrome https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=15/50.9401/3.8923 I have around this location a large grey area. The streets are visible but not the land use. I don't have this problem with map 14 or map 16 for the same place. Not sure if it is just me? I tried Ctrl-F5, but didn't help. asked 20 Aug '22, 23:11 joopts |
I'm guessing that the problem was this. It was reverted and the user was blocked. At one zoom level you're just seeing old data, and because of the new tile CDN there's no easy way to request an update. It'll sort itself out eventually. answered 20 Aug '22, 23:44 SomeoneElse ♦ Ok. I thought the maps are rerendered automatically if there is an update. If I change something, it depends on the zoom level when it is visible, but I don't remember it taking more then only a few minutes. So not sure why the revert then didn't result in the correct map for this zoom level. Is it different if you have a changeset with a small area vs big area here? I guess it's not good practice to make some change to trigger an update, if that would work at all.
