Hi, I record tracks with my smartphone using OSMAnd+. Now I want to load this tracks simply to my (holiday-)laptop and create small images showing the detailed map of that area with the track. I checked out some software (Merkaator ..) but all I found is very complicated and needs lot of time to learn and use. I want to work offline because I dont't have a high-volume-internet-connection during my trip. Is there anything available? My OS is Win10. Thanks for helping. With best regards Gerhard

Thanks, but it is a working prototype, so if development stops? And it is a java app. With best regards Gerhard

What I do in this situation is email the tracks I have recorded in OSMand to myself and then import them into Garmin's Basecamp program. As long as you have a map of your area of interest in Basecamp, the tracks will be visible on the map. They can be arranged or grouped to your liking within the Basecamp data structure and stored in Basecamp indefinitely.

Basecamp is available free from Garmin. You would need some sort of map inside Basecamp in order to see your tracks overlaid on something other than a white background but Garmin-compatible maps can be purchased or even custom-made if you are oriented that way.

Cheers,

Dave

Adding to the Basecamp idea, you can download OSM maps to use in Basecamp. Have a look here at what's available:- https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Map_On_Garmin/Download

Also, OsmAnd+ can be used on a Windows PC via an emulator.

GPX tracks can be loaded into JOSM and used/edited then saved offline. You might also consider GpsPrune here:- https://activityworkshop.net/software/gpsprune/

GPS prune will do all of this if you browse and store the map before going off-line https://activityworkshop.net/software/gpsprune/
