Hello everybody, I have been mapping an area for several days. But I realise the the comment of each edition that is shown in the changes history is not as self explaining as I would like. Is there any possibility of modify this coment? asked 13 Oct '11, 21:54 jorde SomeoneElse ♦ |
No. Once a changeset is closed, it cannot be modified in any way. answered 13 Oct '11, 21:56 Frederik Ramm ♦ This is unfortunate because my history is constantly mixing comments in my history, replacing them without notice with comments retrieved from an older closed changeset. The server stores just them randomly, duplicating them for about 2/3 weeks, and then selects the comment from another later changeset (but wtill an old closed changeset) and almost never the correct comment I submitted.

You can only edit a changeset if it isn't closed. A changeset remaining opened is automatically closed after 24 hours. I've found some details about this question when I had submitted a ticket about that. It seems that JOSM would leave a changeset opened, but I haven't tested if it is right. answered 13 Oct '11, 23:17 NicolasDumoulin |
As others have said, you cannot modify a changeset once it is closed. However there has been some discussion on the mailing lists about a desire for allowing comments to be added to changesets, just as for diary entries. There is no progress towards implementing such a feature, and not even any consensus on if or how it should be done. If interested in providing input or assistance with this, please send a message to the dev mailing list. answered 14 Oct '11, 01:06 joshdoe |
