Hello, Am working on a site, Mapping day Uganda and wish to use OSM as my openid provider so that users to my site just need to sign up once. And those already with the OSM login to just login directly. Which means one login for both OSM and mapping day uganda.

Discussions say the openid provider API is in the dev version of OSM, so, when will it be launched? Or is it launched?

According to the OpenID wiki page OSM already supports OpenID but requires an additional OSM account.

There are no plans to become an OpenID provider.

OpenStreetMap.org is an OpenID consumer but not an OpenID provider. There are no immediate plans to become an OpenID provider.
