Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

StreetComplete is a great app for adding missing tags on the go but it assumes existing data is correct and cannot be changed. I am looking for an app that allows me to quickly identify issues and fix them on the go.

Vespucci could do this but the User Experience is too cumbersome for making quick changes.

Are there any alternative apps with simpler user interfaces like StreetComplete that would fit this purpose?

I'd be curious about a true answer to what you're asking too, but FWIW I think Vespucci has a tag only mode that may simplify things for you if you're only doing edits to existing data.
