In several countries, the land properties are surrounded by dry stone walls. You can walk the countryside through footpaths that are formed by the borders of those land properties (the dry stone walls).

Pretty much. Just look anywhere in the Peak District & you will find 100s of mapped drystone walls, often, as in your photo, either side of a path. answered 18 Mar '22, 22:53  SK53 ♦ |
