The building is already drawn accurately in Toronto. The tags are assigned to the building (way). Two other churches also use the building. What's the best way to add them?

Turns out they share their building with six other churches: http://saintlukesunitedchurch.com/space-sharing-2/

That's one of those topics where our tagging scheme is unfortunately not providing a really good answer. In my opinion the best way to do it is to separate building and communities.

Tag the building with building=church and all those tags that are common (address, opening hours, ...). Then create separate nodes inside the building for the churches with amenity=place_of_worship and all the related tags. If there is clearly one main church using the building and the other five are merely minor guests you may want to put the main church also on the building and not into a separate node.

This was quite recently discussed on the Tagging mailing list. You can read through that thread as well.

The mailing list thread leads me to the action I considered first: leave the building tagged as is, which is the church that apparently owns it. Then put the others as nodes inside near the main entrance (far enough apart to show individually on a map). Maybe with a note "space provided by ____"
