Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

Hi, I know this has been asked before, but the questions I found are from a few years ago, I wondered if there has been change in this regard?

As a general comment: this is unlikely to ever happen in a reasonable form as an editor application needs to maintain, in one way or the other, the relationships between OSM elements as in the OSM data model. Not doing so leads to sub-par (being very nice) results.
