While doing some cleanup in my province, came across road segments that have a blog link (trip reports) as a source tag. Most of these are old (3+ years) and many links are broken.

While the blog posts may be interesting to end-users (they are to me), I am not really sure if blog links should be used as a source value since they do not refer to a single road and links will not be available forever.

What do you think?

I guess it doesn't really matter. While a 3+ year old blog post might no longer exist you can't expect that a "regular" website link stills exists after 3+ years either. So I wouldn't say one is better than the other.

What's more important is that you are actually allowed to use the blog's or website's content for OSM.
