Hi! I'm new to OpenStreetMaps. I'm trying to save as png file a map but the saved map is no readable by picture browsers. The expor dialog only offers .osm extention as file type. I change manually the extention but the saved map is not useful.

What am I doing wrong

The Export dialog is for exporting raw data, not images.

You need the Share dialog - there should be an icon in the list at the right of your screen. This gives you an option to share as an Image, which in turn offers a number of formats incluidng PNG.
