Somehow, https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/40722496 got corrupted into a straight line, as far as I can tell. There may need to be some reverts that need to go on here but the data is confusing and I can't figure out what happened here looking at achavi and osmcha.

Could someone shed some light on this? Perhaps figure out what changeset did this? What's weird is that I see no hint of the straight edges when I pull up achavi for the last changeset that touched it, which further baffles me...

Probably https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/109901079

If only the node positions are changed the way itself does not get updated, just the node versions and positions. Likely an accidental straightening action.

With a DWG hat on I tidied up a similar "accidental orthogonalise" in the UK a few days ago. If the person who accidentally moved the nodes is a bit confused and needs help fixing it, drop an email to data@openstreetmap.org and we'll be able to help.

Thanks this makes perfect sense. Hope to get everything fixed back up again.
