Hi I've a circular route relation & want to export it as GPX so that the ways (<trkseg>) are in clockwise order.

I checked in JOSM that the relation's ways are sorted, but JOSM's 'export to GPX' & 'saveas GPX' jumbles up the order for some reason. How can this be be solved in JOSM or using another program.

This might be worth a try...
Open a new layer in Josm, then select the route and ‘merge selected’ into the new layer. Then select all the route segments and ‘edit > combine’ and try exporting the combined route to gpx. Be careful not to upload to osm on exiting.

Also some alternative ideas in this query...

The right click menu for the layer should have an option to "discourage upload" (expert mode only) after that is set I don't think JOSM even prompts for upload on close.

For anyone else reading this it's Tools>Combine. Unfortunately your suggestion & those in the link combine all ways (<trkseg>) into one big <trkseg>. I wish to maintain them. Overpass's Export does similar.
