Hello

I would like to learn more about datatransfer in OSM and especially if there are possible ways to automatise/ standardise this process. Do you have any recommendations for papers/ documents/ etc. considering this topic about automated data imports or do you even know a contact person from OSM for questions about existing automated dataprocesses?

Thanks Lisa

There is some documentation here: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Import/Guidelines

Data imports into OpenStreetMap are never just a technical issue (even though technical issues are important - e.g. make sure you do not duplicate or overwrite existing information, use the correct tags and so on), it is also a legal issue (is the data being contributed under a license that is compatible with OSM - and not, for example, addresses that have been geocoded with Google) and a community issue (does the community want the data at all). The guidelines linked above describe a process that is intended to ensure that all these aspects receive the proper care before an import is started.
