I removed the connection from the south end of Ypsilanti st. to Main St. and it appears in https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=18/41.95724/-83.66016

But not when I zoom out: https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/41.95639/-83.66165

This is a recurring question: the renderer for the standard map usually takes only few minutes to process the changes, especially when they do not involve huge parts of the map, but the fresh tile might not be shown to you if something, somewhere between the source and your screen, is acting as a cache (your browser is one of these, so refreshing the page or clearing its cache, often does the trick).

Read the FAQ for more information.
