Street with holes

Hi, I added a point to highlight the missing maintenance of some streets to a City Hall in South Italy - Calabria . But how can I add the description "hole" to the added point ?

Can a user add new descriptions or new images or icons ?

Holes cannot be mapped as an element in the OSM database (since they are extremely volatile). You could, however, use the smoothness tag to alert routers to the state of the street.

There is a barely used potholes tag documented on the wiki for holey-ness of roads. The list of values is somewhat amusing.

If your aim is to report what you hope will be a transient features to the local authorities, you may find one of the uMap instances useful. They support custom icons and popup text. Make sure you save the edit link somewhere safe before navigating away from the site or you will not be able to make changes later.
