Replace a way in several relations

There is a way belonging to a dozen relations; I want to replace it with another way. A fast method could be replacing their ID's using a textual editor.

How can I query overpass (way recurse up) to get all relations involved and export data to Level0 to perform textual replace?

Tangential question: why do you want to do this? I ask because if it's something like the way being drawn so poorly it's easier to re-draw from scratch then there is a replace geometry plugin in JOSM that would be able to re-use the old id.
