To be fair, your question didn't ask that - it asked about "", which is a third-party application whose only connection to OSM is that (like some Apple products, actually) they use OSM data.

To share a location from OpenStreetMap:

  1. In a web browser go to
  2. Move around the map until the location that you want to share is displayed
  3. Copy the contents of the URL bar
  4. Create a new email
  5. Paste into that email
  6. Send email

For comparison, a "share" of a location from within Apple Maps is actually very similar, except containing information that is presumably designed to track who is doing the sharing:,-1.017170&lsp=7618&q=Marked%20Location&_ext=EiYpz3pCwGv8SkAx4VUgxN8g8b85tqtGZXkES0BBpp/LL97q7r9QDA%3D%3D&t=m
