HI,

Say for example is it possible to extract a KML or similar file of a waterway, e.g River Spey in Scotland?

I notice in edit mode you can highlight it, but can you export it?

Thanks Anthony

you could export it in JOSM as GPX and then transform this to a KML with an external tool.
