How to extract a map section with all details into a common format, e.g. .pdf or .jpg ?

  1. Go to openstreetmap.org
  2. pan/zoom to the area you want to extract
  3. click the share button (a square with an outgoing arrow) (in the buttons menu on the right)
  4. choose "image" and then the format ("jpeg" or "pdf") - you may also further restrict the extract area by clicking "set custom dimensions". Use a small area.
  5. click "download" button
  6. enjoy.
