I mistakenly saved my edits in other project number than that I was using in JOSM (e.g. I uploaded my edits Using # 1324 instead of #1234 and all my edits of #1234 got saved in #1324), so is it possible to change the comment to #1234? asked 01 Oct '20, 21:37 Pragya Pant |
You can't edit a changeset comment but you can add comments to a changeset if you want, for example to correct mistakes. It's likely only of interest to humans readers though, it's not likely to get picked up for automated project stats. Go to your profile on osm.org, click "my edits" and then the relevant changeset, then use the "discussion" box. answered 01 Oct '20, 23:20 Vincent de P... ♦ |
It isn't clear what "projects" you're referring to, but to answer the question of how to edit a changeset comment, you can't. answered 01 Oct '20, 22:28 alester |

As an aside from the "can I change the changeset comment" question (as Vincent says, you can't), please do use meaningful changeset comments. Currently at https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Pragya%20Pant/history you've just said things like "#hotosm-project-9354 #BIPAD #YILAB #Rasuwa #DigitalVolunteers". This is complely meaningless. Please use some actual words that describes what you were doing. If you're tracing something from imagery, then please use words that say that in the changeset comment and also say why you were doing what you were doing. See https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Good_changeset_comments for more information.
