How can I disable the oblique lines background for non-downloaded areas in JOSM?

In my old profile I've had figured this out. Is it in the mappaint style, or an option?

Go to:

  • Edit > Preferences...
  • Display Settings
  • Under the OSM Data tab, uncheck "Draw boundaries of downloaded data"
