Old Satellite Image

1

I'm new to this but have been enjoying adding the minor roads to my village in France. Using GPX tracks and the satellite Image in Potlatch2 I am amazed at how easy it is to do. However, the satellite image must be five or more years old. So is there a way to update the satellite image being used?

The short answer is no. The imagery you see is provided by Bing, and they have their own schedules for which areas get updated when.

You may be able to buy more up-to-date imagery of the area you're editing, but it won't be cheap and it gives you quite a limited set of information compared with a ground survey.
