Dear hardscarf, Have a look here for the Dutch Forum, where different names are being mentioned, with BAG as main source and leading. When road signs with names are different then BAG there is a protocol to tell met BAG maintenance (government) to ask them about it. The forum is here, https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=12 You are referring to the And import, almost all traces of that event are removed out of OSM so no longer leading.

For OpenStreetMap the primary and most important source is what is on the ground.

If in reality a way doesn't exist or is signposted with a different name, this should always override 3rd party data (additional names can be recorded with official_name or another tag).

With other words pls fix the problem directly in OSM.
