What custom url should I use to get opencyclemap as a background in the id editor? (the one the wiki mentions requires an account or I just get a 404 for other reasons. don't know)

Cheers

A little selfreferential as opencyclemap is OpenStreetMap based. What are you trying to accomplish with this? There may be another way to do what you need.

@insertUser basically wanted to look over an area that seemed to have some bicycle=no tags yet some ways didn't. And being able to see the opencyclemap over it would have helped with that

@Thibaultmol While what you are trying to do is valid, JOSM has OSM map layers and a filter function for this.

The URL from https://raw.githubusercontent.com/osmlab/editor-layer-index/gh-pages/sources/world/TF-OpenCycleMap.geojson should work, however you will need to completely remove the apikey parameter / or get a free account and key from Thunderforest.
