It would be interesting to know the setting of Mapnik layer for OSM.org. Is it available somewhere? Maybe with rendering examples too?

Since Spring 2013 or so, the map style that you see on osm.org by default has been stored at https://github.com/gravitystorm/openstreetmap-carto/

Until Early 2013, The stylesheet used in Mapnik was located in the OSM Trac. For more discussion, see the Mapnik page in the OOpenStreetMap Wiki.
