Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

Hi All,

I'm a newbie...

How do I orient the map on Android so that forward is "UP??

Thanks, Road Side

Hi OSM fans,

Here is what seems to work:

On the map screen there maybe a circle that changes from "N" to "triangle up" to "compass direction."

Each time you tap it the orientation will change and a message box will pop up to inform you what your choice is.

Hope this helps somebody.

Seems like the OSM forums is for developers, not users.
