I don't know if this is the right place to ask this. Recently I was editing on the Portuguese Wikipedia (which uses the OpenStreetMap in Portuguese), I noticed that Portugal's name appears there as "Portugalija" (apparently this is the name in Italian). Could anyone fix this or tell me how I can fix this myself?

That seems to be either a problem at wikimedia maps or an already corrected problem that is not updated yet in wikimedia maps.

On my rendering of the OSM data in Portuguese, Portugal is displayed as Portugal in Portuguese.

And Nominatim tells the same:

https://nominatim.openstreetmap.org/search.php?q=portugal&polygon_geojson=1&viewbox=&accept-language=pt

And here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/295480 you see the name:pt tag also displayed as "Portugal".

So this is not in OSM data, but somewhere broken in wikipedia maps (where I see what you mean).

Thanks for the answer, I'll see if I can solve this problem on Wikimedia.
