The pinching / zooming and sliding finger / panning features do not work anymore on the openstreetmap.org web site. As a town patroller, my colleagues introduced me to that wonderful site. We could locate quickly a street, civic address… This made the job much easier and literally made the difference between life and death situations. We would typically use the GPS locator and then pinch / zoom, slide finger / pan as needed. Unfortunately, for the last 3 months, yes, during the pandemic, we were unable to use this tool. These features are broken. Pinching will scale the whole browser instead of the map. Moreover, sliding the finger does nothing or freezes the map. Gestures are simply broken now. We can`t use the site anymore on patrol car tablets, nor on the main dispatching station tv touch screen. It still seems to work with some, but not all cell phones, but the maps are then way too small and it is inconvenient while driving. We are now using Google Maps instead. Not as cool, detailed or accurate, but at least it gets the job done. I wish programmers would look at what bug was introduced on this wonderful site that rendered it basically useless, I’m sure, for millions of users. |

It doesnt work for me either, under Windows 10, not on Chrome (v 84.0.4147.135 (Official Build) (64-bit)) nor Nominatum, but it does osmap.us. Nor on Microsoft Edge |

This behaviour you describe cannot be reproduced here. It does sound as if some libraries used by Leaflet or other JavaScript libraries used by the website are not loaded properly on your device. Can you tell us the device, operation system and browser (including version) you are using? Does you network applies any firewall settings or proxy systems? Can you check if it (that is: panning, zooming, etc.) does work at https://nominatim.openstreetmap.org or at https://osmap.us ? Thank you for your response. 1) Devices: tablets, phones and tv monitors of different brands (probably not device related). 2) Tablets configuration: Windows 10 professional, build 18363.900, installation 2019-11-19. Chrome 83.0.4103.106 official build 32 bits. Does not work when tried on MS Edge either. 3) Not working: https://nominatim.openstreetmap.org (pinch/slide not working, using + and - buttons does zoom. Gestures broken. WORKING!!!: https://osmap.us (pinch/slide perfectly working, like openstreetmap.org used to work in the past). 4) Don't know about firewall settings or proxys, it is configured by I.T.s
