I'm trying to tag a statue that is an exact recasting (i.e. copy) of a renaissance-era statue. How should I be tagging fields like the artist_name, start_date, wikidata, etc. -- the information of the original, the copy, or neither?

It would definitely not be accurate to directly put out the original's info. I guess you can throw it in subject=, sub-tagging under subject:*= (in some uses) to further elaborate.
