I found out the name of the street I live in is wrong. And would like to correct it. How can I do that?

It's quite easy actually. Zoom to the location on openstreetmap.org and hit the edit button on the top. You need to create an account if you have not done so yet. In the editor click on the line that represents your street. On the left hand side all the data of this street is shown and you can correct the name. Then hit "save" on the top right. Enter some comment on what you have done (e.g. "corrected street name") and hit upload. Done.

Note that your street may be represented by several consecutive lines. You need to change all of them. Addresses are also often tagged to buildings and amenities along the street. Please check if any of those need to be corrected, too.

Done, TZorn. As you said, it was quite easy. And the site is very well structured. It guides you seamlessly.

Thanks for improving the map Mackissack. I took the liberty reviewing the change you made. I noticed that another mapper had already changed the name a couple of months ago but had only designated it as "alternative name". Has the street been officially renamed some time ago?

He did the same to the street in the North of that block: name = Parque de Zoquiapan and alt name = Calzada San Esteban. Should that street also properly be renamed to Calzada San Esteban?
